[Saint Kitts and Nevis] (May 4, 2022) In the first 4 months of 2022, Chain has only just begun to set into motion their philanthropic initiatives with the creation of Chain Gives. Chain Gives aims to help countless individuals around the world through various donations to charitable causes.
“Crypto and blockchain enable us to rapidly send funds to individuals or organizations. In emergency situations when timing is critical, funds can be delivered to the recipient almost instantaneously. The multi-faceted nature of blockchain can truly benefit humanity on a magnitude of levels. And the importance of giving is even greater at this time, when many organizations have lost significant amounts of revenue as the demand for their services has spiked” stated Deepak Thapliyal, Chain CEO.
Chain Gives has successfully made 6 donations totaling $682,000 thus far in 2022, impacting an untold number of lives.
On April 25th, 2022 Chain Gives made a $100,000 cash donation to Reform Alliance, in conjunction with donating the domain Reform.com to the organization. The domain donation is valued at $250,000, bringing the total contribution value to $350,000. Reform is a non-profit organization on a mission to radically transform the criminal justice system through legislation and is pivotal in creating opportunities for success for individuals transitioning from incarceration back into the community. The organization places a strong emphasis on providing learning opportunities, mental health support, housing, amongst other attributes essential to creating a successful life.
Chain Gives has been able to aid several other organizations, including The Giving Block, and a $277,000 donation towards Ukraine relief efforts.
Thapliyal continued “Chain Gives is about more than just corporate philanthropy. Our goal is to use our resources to create positive change and make a global impact. We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to give back to the community on this scale”.
